Caution: bamboo canes without anti-crack treatment (click here for illustration) and climatic adjustment are unsuitable for furniture production. They do not correspond to European quality standards. This problem, however, is ignored by most bamboo furniture manufacturers and thus allows them to run a “profit centre” whilst keeping their customers in the dark. This means that these suppliers can offer unbeatable prices – but at the expense of quality and value.
We do things differently at HIGH TOUCH: we distance ourselves from so-called cut-price suppliers and try to ascertain what causes these defects. HIGH TOUCH endeavours to counter the development of cracks and fissures caused by climatic change between the country of origin and Europe. Thanks to our lengthy procedure, we reduce the risk of fissure to below 5%, i.e. our success ratio is 95% and consequently the creaking and groaning of the furniture is also reduced or prevented.
Bamboo, however, is and remains one of nature’s unpredictable moods.
To put it bluntly: despite climatic adjustment, we are therefore unable to provide a 100% anti-crack guarantee – we are subject to the whims of nature. Small cracks and signs of stretching are not grounds for complaint, but rather an indication of the life in the material. Long life guaranteed!
